Government & public sector digital signage, driven by your Xibo® CMS
Secure, air-gapped deployments with offline activation and per-device licensing, built for restricted networks.
XiPlay is one of the few commercial signage players designed for networks that never touch the internet: activation works through a cryptographically signed offline license file, the player runs entirely against your on-premise Xibo® CMS, and nothing needs to phone home.
Public-sector procurement asks questions most signage vendors can't answer: What leaves the network? (Nothing. Content and scheduling stay between your players and your own Xibo® server.) How is each device accounted for? (One license per player, keyed to its hardware MAC.) What happens if the vendor disappears? (Issued offline licenses keep running for their full validity; activation doesn't depend on our cloud staying up.)

What makes it work here
Air-gapped licensing
A signed .lic file issued from the portal activates devices on networks with no outbound internet.
How air-gapped licensing works →Security posture
Signed license verdicts, per-device authentication, MFA on the portal, and no access to your content.
Security & data handling →Offline-first playback
Notices stay on screen through any network event; the display never goes black.
How offline playback works →Government & public sector signage questions
Can XiPlay run on a network with no internet access at all?
Yes. Add the device in the portal by its MAC, download a signed offline license file, and install it on the player. No cloud contact is required from the secure network. The license is validated on-device against XiPlay's published signing keys.
What data leaves our network?
On an air-gapped deployment, nothing. On connected deployments, the player's licensing check sends only device identity and licensing state (MAC, status), never content, layouts or schedules, which stay between the player and your own Xibo® CMS.
What happens to issued licenses if XiPlay's cloud is unreachable?
They keep working. Offline licenses are valid for their full issued term without any callback, and online players keep playing cached content and honoring their last verdict. Activation is designed so screens don't depend on our uptime.
