Education & healthcare digital signage, driven by your Xibo® CMS

Campuses and hospitals: wayfinding, announcements and queue or room displays, centrally managed and always on.

XiPlay runs campus and hospital signage (wayfinding, announcements, queue and room-status displays) on BrightSign® players managed from your own Xibo® CMS, with players grouped by building, floor or department in one portal.

In these environments a screen is often safety-critical: an evacuation notice or a clinic queue display can't silently go dark. Offline-first playback keeps the last content on screen through network problems, and because content stays on your own Xibo® server, patient- or student-facing information never has to leave your infrastructure.

Questions

Education & healthcare signage questions

Can live data like queue numbers or room status be shown?

Yes. Xibo® layouts embed live data through its web, embedded and dataset widgets, and XiPlay renders the full widget set. The data flows from your systems through your own Xibo® CMS to the player.

Does patient or student data pass through XiPlay?

No. XiPlay's platform handles device licensing and fleet management only. Everything you display, including any data your layouts pull, moves between your own Xibo® CMS and your players, on your network.

How are screens organized across a large campus?

In the portal, players are grouped by site and tagged freely: building, floor, department. Role-based access means the estates team, a faculty or a clinic can each manage exactly their own screens.
