Introducing XiPlay: full-feature signage, one license

Why we built a BrightSign® player for Xibo® CMS, and why one license unlocks everything, whether you run one screen or a thousand.

Digital signage software has a habit of nickel-and-diming you: video walls are an upgrade, interactivity is another tier, and the feature you need is always one plan up. We think that's backwards, so XiPlay has no tiers at all.

A single per-device licence unlocks the complete software: video walls, interactivity, HDMI-In, HLS and every widget, whether you run one screen or a thousand. You pay per device, not per feature.

The gap we built into

Xibo® is a widely used signage CMS. BrightSign® is the de-facto standard commercial signage hardware. And they don't meet: Xibo Signage Ltd. publishes players for Windows, Android, Linux, webOS and Tizen, but not for BrightSign®.

So teams running Xibo® who wanted purpose-built hardware were stuck choosing between the CMS they knew and the hardware they trusted. XiPlay exists to remove that choice: it implements Xibo®'s XMDS protocol, so a BrightSign® player joins your existing Xibo® CMS as an ordinary display. No migration, no lock-in: you keep the CMS and change only the box.

Offline-first, never black

Screens live in the real world, where networks drop. XiPlay caches its content and renders locally, so a connection failure pauses the content refresh, never the screen. A self-healing watchdog recovers a frozen player without a site visit.

Deploy anywhere, including nowhere

Pricing is in USD and EUR, and scheduling is timezone-aware. More unusually, air-gapped sites are a first-class case rather than an exception: a signed offline licence file activates a player on a network with no internet at all, verified on the device, with no phone-home. Government and secure facilities were part of the design, not an afterthought.

Try it on your worst screen

Every new device runs the complete software free for 14 days, no card required. Copy the files onto an SD card, point the player at your Xibo® CMS, and put it on the screen that gives you the most trouble. That's the one that will tell you whether this is for you.
